I have spent more than two decades helping people navigate decisions involving homes, financing, protection, retirement, and the people they love.
Those decisions may look financial from the outside. Inside the room, they are almost always personal.
A career built around consequential decisions
I am Vice President of Client Strategy Services at Roots and Wealth Group. My professional experience spans real estate, mortgage lending, insurance, annuities, retirement-income planning, client strategy, sales, and leadership development. I am a licensed real estate broker, mortgage broker, and Florida life, health, and variable annuity agent.
Earlier in my career, I spent several years volunteering as a coach and leadership-program leader for a personal-development training organization. I led cohorts of approximately thirty participants, oversaw more than one hundred developing leaders, and was selected to lead an annual leadership class. I was later recruited into a paid role as registration manager.
What the work taught me
People need expertise, but they do not want their humanity reduced to a transaction. They want to be understood. They want complicated information made usable. They want room to ask questions, change their minds, and recognize themselves in the final answer.
That belief connects everything I write. What If… helps families prepare before life forces a conversation. Paint Your Pension asks people to picture retirement before trying to fund it. The Dance asks professionals to guide without taking the decision away.
Why I write
I write because information alone is not always enough. Sometimes people need a question that opens a conversation. Sometimes they need permission to imagine a different future. Sometimes they need a professional willing to slow down, listen carefully, and risk losing the business rather than accept a decision the client cannot yet understand or own.
My goal is not to tell people what their lives should look like. It is to help them see more clearly what matters in their own.
